Top 5 Navigation and Maps Apps in Mexico: Q2 2023 Performance

In the second quarter of 2023, the top 5 navigation and maps applications in Mexico displayed varied performance metrics in terms of downloads and weekly active users, as per Sensor Tower data.

Google Maps saw a steady increase in downloads, starting at approximately 93K at the end of March and peaking at around 109K in mid-June. Weekly active users exhibited slight fluctuations but remained robust, peaking at approximately 4.3M in mid-June before settling at around 4.2M by the end of the quarter.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced a varied download trend, starting with around 57K in late March, dipping in April, and then recovering to about 52K by the end of June. Weekly active users initially increased from approximately 966K to a peak of 1.1M in early May, followed by a decline to about 866K, before rebounding to around 992K at the end of June.

Google Earth had a relatively stable download trend, with a slight increase from around 28K in late March to a peak of approximately 33K by the end of June. Weekly active users also showed stability, starting at approximately 238K and ending at around 249K.

Radar Map, Radar Detector, HUD demonstrated a notable increase in downloads, beginning at about 7.2K in late March and peaking at around 13K in May. By the end of June, downloads were approximately 12K. Weekly active users followed a similar upward trend, increasing from about 18K to a peak of approximately 39K by the end of the quarter.

Tu Tag PASE showed consistent download numbers, with a slight peak of around 12.5K in early April. Weekly active users remained relatively stable, fluctuating around 58K throughout the quarter.
